From July 20 to 24, large-scale exercises of volunteers of the National Center for Missing and Injured Children were held in the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. More than a hundred volunteers from the Volga, Ural, Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts of Russia met to hone the knowledge and skills that are necessary in working with rescuers in the search for the missing in the natural environment.
The program of events was designed for 3 days and was built in such a way that not only experienced volunteers, but also novice volunteers acquired valuable skills in conducting search and rescue operations with the support of experienced instructors.
The classes included the ability to navigate the terrain, first aid and survival skills in the natural environment. Master classes were held with leading instructors in psychology, the basic rules of search work, the ability to work in a team.
The theory was immediately consolidated in practice. Volunteers were mixed with other teams and taken to the forest to test their acquired knowledge under the strict guidance of experienced instructors.
