The SISV inspectors remind us of this once again. Today's briefing at the Tatar-Inform press center was devoted to the topic of measures to ensure safety at water bodies during the off-season in the Republic of Tatarstan. The speaker was the head of the Department of Safety of people on water bodies of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan Regina Gayazova.
She told reporters that due to the establishment of positive temperatures not only during the day, but also at night, ice melts on water bodies. Under the influence of precipitation, positive temperatures, meltwater, undercurrent, wind, the area of washouts increases daily, the ice structure has lost its properties and cannot withstand the load, the connections of ice fields with the shores are destroyed.
In order to prevent accidents related to going out on the ice, from November 14, 2022 to the present day, consolidated mobile patrol groups have been organized in each municipality, which conduct daily patrols of reservoirs where there is a risk of fishermen going out on dangerous ice.
The main purpose of these patrol groups is to conduct preventive conversations, explanatory work about the danger of going out on thin ice, the establishment of forbidding warning notices in dangerous areas.
