Most fires due to furnaces occur precisely during the heating season, during the cold season. Over the summer, tenants and homeowners lose their skills in handling heating devices and forget about precautions. And the furnace equipment itself becomes unusable over time.
The main causes of "furnace" fires:
1. violation of the rules of the furnace.
2. violation of fire safety rules during operation of the furnace.
Recommendations for installation and operation of furnace heating:
Before the start of the heating season, the furnaces must be checked and repaired, the chimneys should be cleaned of soot and whitewashed.
The furnace must be white, this will allow timely detection of malfunctions, cracks in the furnace that can lead to a fire, since a black smoke trail is clearly visible on a white background.
Vertical chimneys without ledges should be used to remove smoke. At the intersection of chimneys with combustible structures, the distance from the inner surface of the smoke channels to these structures should be at least 38 cm.
To protect a combustible and difficult-to-burn floor, a 70x50 cm metal sheet should be provided in front of the furnace furnace.
In garden houses, it is allowed to operate stoves only on solid fuel.
