1164 special areas are ready to launch pyrotechnic products in New Year holidays
This was announced today to journalists of republican and city mass media by Deputy Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Fire Supervision Maxim Truschin during a briefing held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The speaker of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that every year the situation with fires is complicated during the New Year holidays, while during this period there are fires with the death of people. On average, every year on New Year's days, the number of fires increases by 20% compared to normal days, and deaths by 50%.
The main number of fires during the New Year holidays of 2020-21 in the Republic of Tatarstan falls on the residential sector – 111 fires (65.7%), which killed 14 people (100%) and injured 6 people (60%).
Due to the fault of drunk persons, 14 fires occurred, in which 10 people died, 3 people were injured.
In order to reduce the number of fires and the negative consequences from them, a set of supervisory and preventive measures is provided.
New Year's festive events are not complete without the use of various pyrotechnic products.
In this regard, a set of organizational and practical measures to prevent fires and injury to people from pyrotechnic products has been planned and implemented.
So, as of December 20, 154 objects of pyrotechnic products were registered. Regarding the suppression of the sale of pyrotechnic products in places that are not appropriate for these purposes, the supervisory officers together with the police officers are planning joint raids.
As part of compliance with fire safety requirements during the use of pyrotechnic products by citizens, 1,164 adapted platforms for launching pyrotechnic products by citizens have been created in the republic.
