The EMERCOM warns: Every year the situation with fires is complicated during the New Year holidays!
The forces and means of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan from December 31, 2021 to January 10, 2022 are transferred to an enhanced version of service. This is the round-the-clock duty of the management staff and the strengthening of combat crews. More than 2,200 employees are involved around the clock with the involvement of 1,129 pieces of equipment. This was stated today by the deputy head of the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work, Colonel of the internal Service Maxim Truschin during a briefing in Tatar-Inform.
Maxim Truschin said that every year the situation with fires is complicated during the New Year holidays, while during this period there are fires with the death of people. "On average, every year on New Year's days, the number of fires increases by 20% compared to normal days, and deaths by 50%."
Therefore, I would like to draw your attention to the prevention of leaving young children alone at home without supervision, as well as with elderly and disabled relatives. Holidays and long weekends are ahead, and the number of fires, on New Year's holidays, I remind you, is increasing dramatically. Every year, minors receive burns due to improper use of pyrotechnic products. Such dangerous "toys" can lead not only to injuries, but also to serious fires.
As part of ensuring the fire safety of the facilities involved in the holding of festive New Year's events, preventive visits are organized and conducted at the facilities of New Year's festive events with visits to children.
As of December 14, 2210 objects were registered. 27 violations of fire safety requirements were detected on 9 of them.
During inspections with the maintenance personnel of the facilities, briefings on fire safety measures and training on working out actions in the event of a fire are conducted.
