Every year, since 2004, the International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated on December 9. In 2003, one of the most important official UN documents, the Convention against Corruption, was opened for signature at a political conference of the countries of the world in Mexico. The Convention was signed in the Russian Federation on December 9, 2003. More than 100 States, including the Russian Federation, which signed the convention, recognized bribes, bribery, abuse of official authority and other abuses of official position as "Criminal offenses", and also decided to cooperate for a large-scale suppression of corruption in all its manifestations.
Currently, there are 87 commissions in the republic, including in the OGV - 42, in the OMS - 45.
During the three quarters of 2021, the commissions held 426 meetings, at which 1,195 materials were considered in relation to employees and persons holding state and municipal positions.
