Today, inspectors of the Kazan branch of the SISV Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a reconnaissance of the inner reservoirs of the Kazan city.
On the lake in Victory Park, the surface of the water is already covered with a crust of ice. Measurements showed that the thickness of the ice is only one and a half centimeters. The same situation is on the lakes along Chuikov Street and other water bodies of the city.
GIMS inspectors warn - be vigilant and careful! Do not leave children unattended near reservoirs! Don't go out on thin ice!
Transparent ice with a bluish or greenish tint, without air bubbles and at least 7 centimeters thick is safe for pedestrians to cross.
