In one of the workshops of Ammony JSC, fire and tactical exercises were held with the participation of the forces of the gas rescue squad, medical personnel, employees of the ammonia and methanol production workshop, the plant's security service, as well as fire departments of the enterprise, Mendeleevsky and Yelabuga districts. More than 40 people and about a dozen units of special equipment were involved in the exercises.
- According to the legend of the exercise, as a result of depressurization of the tank with methanol, a vapor-gas air cloud was released, one person was injured. - said Vladimir Shalaumov, Chief of Staff for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Ammony JSC. The first to arrive at the scene was a gas rescue squad. In a matter of minutes, they took the victim out of the gassed territory and handed over to the employees of the factory health center.
