Today in Kazan, at the memorial complex to the Tatarstan liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, not only the participants of those events themselves, but also the relatives of the deceased Tatarstan citizens, students of the "Unarmia" classes and fire cadets gathered. Deputy Minister for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Surzhko and other guests of honor also took part in the solemn memorial rally.
In his speech, the deputy head of the Tatarstan emergency department noted that "20 thousand years must pass so that people can live safely in the place where the fourth power unit exploded."
At the end of the rally, the memory of those who died as a result of the Chernobyl accident was honored with a minute of silence and flowers were laid at the memorial.
