An informative outdoor excursion for children from foster and substitute families was organized by firefighters of the fire and rescue unit No. 43 of the Kazan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Management of Contractual Divisions of the Federal Fire Service of the State Fire Service in the Republic of Tatarstan" and representatives of the Tatarstan regional branch of the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Society. The children were shown the equipment that ensures fire safety of one of the largest chemical enterprises in Russia, PJSC "Kazanorgsintez".
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is now possible to hold traditional meetings of firefighters with children only on the street, without visiting the premises of the units. Especially for the younger guests, the management of the fire and rescue unit put their equipment on the territory adjacent to the facade of the SRU building. There were modern tankers, an auto ladder that could "stretch" to 42 meters, and other fire and rescue equipment. The children had something to compare the current fire engines with those that served at the end of the last century – next to the part on the pedestal as an exhibit was a rare fire ZIL. The noticeable difference in the capabilities of modern and old cars was obvious even to children.
Well, then there was a "presentation" of fire trucks and their "fillings". Firefighters told and showed curious kids what such a car is for, what it consists of, what its capabilities are and what it carries with it. For clarity, the firefighters deployed fire hoses and showed how the trunk works to extinguish fires, generously flooding the area near the garage with a powerful jet of water.
The next "attraction" is working with an emergency rescue tool. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told and showed what such large wire cutters are for and what they can eat, as well as what "helpers" they are during a fire.
In memory of this informative tour, the children were given memorable souvenirs.
- In our families, special children are brought up who, by the will of fate, were left without parental care, and we took the children into our families for upbringing, - said Alfiya Samsonova, administrator of the club of substitute families "Native Hearts". – Together with the regional public organization "We are together", which protects the interests of substitute families, we asked to organize a familiarization tour for our children "visiting firefighters". We express our deep gratitude to the sympathetic people who met us halfway and introduced the children to the basics of the profession of a firefighter and lifeguard. Thus, they have the opportunity to learn about the world, which contributes to the harmonious development of our children
