On March 1, on the International Day of Civil Defense, open lessons on the basics of life safety are held in educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. Today rescuers Kazan search and rescue squad, a branch of the Volga regional search and rescue team of EMERCOM of Russia blessed with his presence fifth graders Lyceum №121 named after Hero of the Soviet Union S. A. Akhtyamova.
- 1 March has become a red letter day, smiling broadly, said the Deputy head of CSSA Vadim Glushkov, at a time when the emergency vehicle Kazan squad had entered the gates 121 Lyceum. - Yes, it is already a good tradition for us. Our rescuers on this day go to visit schoolchildren, where they introduce the children to the basics of the profession of a lifeguard, conduct preventive conversations, answering many questions, and introducing them to the skills of first aid to victims. And, of course, we tell about this date and about the importance of civil defense for the population not only in our country, but also in the world, - Vadim Glushkov explained.
The children quickly filled the school yard, where the rescuers began to lay out their equipment for the introductory lesson. This time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations took with them two search dogs, which at first attracted all the attention of the children, bypassing the formidable pliers and other emergency tools.
It was possible to pull the students away from the Labradors only by promising to play with the dogs after the end of the safety lesson.
First of all, Vadim Glushkov explained to the students why the rescuers had come to them. The main thing that the boys and girls have learned is that civil defense is designed to protect the civilian population, and therefore them, too.
Then the rescuers moved on to practice.
- In the course of the lesson, we show the children the "stuffing" of our emergency rescue vehicle, what equipment and equipment it is provided with and what it is intended for. And, of course, we briefly tell the goals and objectives of this car and its crew, - said the deputy head of the CPSO Vadim Glushkov.
The children were shown how massive wire cutters can easily flatten and bite pipes and steel fittings. Then the rescuers took out a powerful gas cutter and cut the "experimental metal" in a few seconds.
- Please note that we can work with such a tool completely independently. We carry all the power sources with us to provide assistance at the scene of an accident, for example, in case of an accident, " Vadim Glushkov told the students.
Before the expected dog-hugging, fifth-graders still had to get acquainted with the special stretchers used by rescuers, as well as listen to instructions about the deadly risk of walking on dangerous spring ice.
- With the arrival of spring, we always touch on the topic of the danger of spring ice, warning the children what misfortunes it can conceal. Children are restless people, often run out on the ice of reservoirs for games. Alas, sad cases of children falling under the ice are recorded in different regions of the country. Therefore, we explain that this can not be done categorically. And if it turned out to fail, then we show how you can escape from the ice trap, - said the deputy head of the CPSO.
And finally, the first-class rescue dog handler Asya Badertdinova brought the black Labrador Merinda to the public. There were a lot of questions. I had to answer everything clearly and briefly. The main thing that Asya Badertdinova explained is that the service dogs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are trained to search for people who got lost in the forest or got under the rubble during accidents or collapses. And also that their four-legged helpers are very kind and happy to play with the children themselves.
Said and done. After the circus performances, the Labradors Charade and Merida disappeared into the crowd of children for about 15 minutes, happily running after the toy after the "aport" command, endlessly giving a paw and allowing themselves to be patted on the withers.
- On behalf of all the teachers of our lyceum, we express our great gratitude to the rescuers of the Kazan search and rescue team. The students of our lyceum have learned a lot of new and useful things today. The kids are just thrilled! We hope for a new meeting with the rescuers during our extracurricular activities, " Milana Matevosyan, Deputy Director for Educational Work at Lyceum No. 121, summed up the results of the extracurricular safety lesson.
