Rafis Khabibullin: the situation with fires and the deaths of people in it remains difficult in Tatarstan
A series of large fires with tragic consequences in apartment buildings took place earlier this year in many cities of Russia.
The situation with fires and the deaths of people in Tatarstan remains difficult.
Since the beginning of 2021, 562 fires have been registered, which, unfortunately, killed 34 people.
There is a significant increase in the number of fires and deaths in the residential sector. This is 72% of all fires and 97% of the people who died on them.
In the housing stock of the republic there were 406 fires, which killed 33 people.
The main causes of fires in the residential sector:
- violation of the rules of installation and operation of electrical equipment and household appliances – 36.7% of the total number;
- violation of the rules of the device and operation of the furnace equipment-32%;
- careless handling of fire, including smoking – 23%;
Due to the fault of drunk persons in the residential sector, 40 fires occurred, or 10% of the total number, which killed 20 people (60% of the total number of deaths).
