Single elderly citizens are under special control of the SFS

The level of risk of death in a fire of elderly people is much higher than the average for the reason that due to their age they do not react so quickly in case of unforeseen danger, besides, many of them live alone and in case of danger they will have no one to help them. 
In Naberezhnye Chelny, during a preventive raid organized as part of operation "Housing-2021", employees of the supervisory activities department together with representatives of the Executive Committee and the Social Protection Department of the Komsomolsk district visited the places of residence of senior citizens.
Raphael Yumagulov and Pavel Nikolaev, inspectors of the department of supervisory activities and preventive work in the Komsomolsky district of Naberezhnye Chelny, reminded senior citizens about fire safety as part of the preventive work. The cause of the fire can be, as inept handling, carelessness in the operation of electric heating devices, or simply forgetfulness. In order to avoid fire, it is forbidden to:
- operate homemade heating devices;
- leave the devices running unattended;
- place electric heating devices near flammable surfaces;
- cover or hang materials, clothing on electric heating devices;
- overload the power grid by plugging several electrical appliances into one outlet at the same time.
As for stoves, every three months it is necessary to clean the chimneys. You need to heat the oven with the furnace door closed. In no case should the heating stoves be left unattended. 
During the raid, emergency workers installed autonomous fire detectors in the homes of elderly people.
