Large temperature changes, an abundance of snow, as well as numerous holes drilled by fishermen, contribute to the formation of cracks in the ice of reservoirs and its rapid melting.
Due to the large amount of precipitation, a large pressure is created on the surface of the ice, as a result, water appears on the ice, which washes away the ice with the formation of washouts and loose snow. This leads to jamming and failure of motor vehicles under the ice.
SISV inspectors strongly recommend that owners of motor vehicles do not go out on the ice at night, as well as in unfamiliar places. Stick to the roads marked with special signs, carry a shovel and a rope at least 20 m long. Categorically exclude children from riding on water bodies.
Rescuers remind you: if you get into a difficult situation on the reservoir, the Ministry of Emergency Situations only evacuates people! Citizens evacuate equipment independently, on their own.
