Employees of the EMERCOM remind all residents of the need to comply with fire safety measures. In order to prevent fires, inspectors of the department of supervision and preventive work in the Zelenodolsk district, together with employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad, conduct joint raids on apartment buildings in Zelenodolsk.
Another raid was organized in the house No. 11 on Engels Street, where a fire occurred in one of the apartments the day before and firefighters from the burning apartment rescued a 36-year-old man.
About the smell of smoke coming from one of the apartments on the third floor of the house number 11 on Engels Street, the fire service was called by concerned neighbors on the phone "101". It was they who met the first SRU-53 crews on duty and reported that a person could remain inside. Due to heavy smoke, 10 residents from the upper floors were evacuated to the street. The metal door of the apartment, where the smoke was coming from, was closed from the inside. With the help of a special tool, the firefighters opened it and got inside. In one of the rooms they found a smoldering sofa and the owner of the apartment in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication. The man was taken out into the fresh air, handed over to the ambulance team. From the fire in the apartment suffered only a sofa on an area of 0.5 square meters. meters. The scenario of the fire is well known: "drank-lit-fell asleep." According to the assumptions of the inspectors of the department of supervisory activities and preventive work in the Zelenodolsk district, the cause of the fire was the un-extinguished cigarette butt of the victim himself. This time, it was possible to save a person's life only thanks to the prompt and competent actions of the Zelenodolsk firefighters. If they had hesitated, the man would have fallen asleep forever. However, as practice shows, it is not always possible to save someone who does not care about their own safety from trouble. As statistics show, 90% of all victims are people who abuse alcoholic beverages, leading an antisocial lifestyle.
Employees of the EMERCOM held conversations with residents of the house on fire safety, handed over memos, reminded of the need to be careful in handling fire. On information stands in the entrances of houses and on stairwells, employees of the 8th squad placed posters about the principles of operation and efficiency of installing autonomous fire detectors.
