Fire athletics disciplines competition ended In Zelenodolsk
Popularization of the fireman's profession, power sports, as well as increasing the role of physical and special training in the professional activity of a firefighter are the main goals of the functional fire all – around competition.
It is worth noting that the first such competitions in the Republic were organized by Zelenodolsk firefighters. In 2018, they held their first "fire crossfit". Now competitions in the fire all-around are held at the national level. Today, the second stage was held, which was attended by the best employees of the divisions of the 8th fire and rescue squad.
The competition program consisted of 8 exercises that participants performed in pairs. Participants performed all strength exercises in full firefighter equipment and with a breathing apparatus behind their back. It's not an easy task. However, as the firefighters themselves admit, it is these and even much more serious physical loads that firefighters experience in real fires.
As a result, the judging panel determined the winners based on the results of all the races. The first place went to the team of 34 fire and rescue units, which included Maxim Fokeev and Andrey Kostenko. The second result was shown by representatives of SRU-8 (Innopolis) – Peter Savelyev and Ilya Methodiev. The third place was taken by the team of firefighters SRU-53 – Kamil Valeev and Sylvester Lugovnin.
Now the winners will perform at the final national stage of the functional fire all-around competition, which will be held on September 30 in the city of Mendeleevsk.
