Residents of Kazan will be asked about the need for markings for installing fire equipment in courtyards
The Kazan authorities plan to adopt the successful experience of Moscow in installing markings for fire equipment in courtyards. The first two such red-and-white markings appeared as a pilot project at the entrances of two residential high-rise buildings on Dekabristov street No. 113 and 115 in the Moscow district.
The problem of unimpeded access to the place of fire in a residential high-rise building and a free area for fire equipment, especially in the evening and at night, has already filled my teeth. Passenger cars occupy all the available space on the local territories. It takes precious time for firefighters to clear a path and make their way to the fire, which is so necessary to save lives and property. Marking the territory of a special site with the installation of appropriate signs is the most effective option, the Kazan Executive Committee considered.
In the future, we want to ensure that during the construction of a new multi-storey building, such sites are laid in the courtyards. All this is done in order to guarantee the safety of Kazan residents, - said the head of the civil protection Department.
