At the training ground of Nizhnekamsk branch of the office of Treaty units of the Federal fire service of State fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan took place the 42nd Republican competitions among units of gas and smoke protective service to commemorate firefighters who died in the line of duty. Detachments of Kazan, Almetyevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny put up two links of GSPS of their strongest units. The honor of the Nizhnekamsk detachment, respectively, was defended by firefighters SRU-35 and SRU-90.
In the context of a pandemic associated with the spread of coronavirus, the event was held in accordance with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, on holding sports events with minimal contact of participants.
When they got to the start, the participants of each gas-smoke protection link checked their equipment in the prescribed manner, the key place in which is occupied by a compressed air breathing apparatus. It is with the help of it that firefighters in their daily work can be in an unbreathable environment, whether it is thick smoke or gas pollution. The equipment also includes two portable radio stations, a group lamp, a rescue rope, a crowbar, a box of the security post and a cable-hitch that connects the gas and smoke protectors.
Given the start and the first obstacle in the way of the GSPS link-the snake bridge, then the fire corridor, blocked by heavy rubber tires, in which the link clears its road. The second stage is due to the use of an emergency rescue tool. A door that needs to be cut off from the iron hinges using hydraulic pliers, and pass through the freed doorway. A whole set of exercises is prepared for firefighters by a heat-and-smoke chamber. After the heat chamber, another March-throw-to the reservoir. Here begins the 4th stage of the competition, where you need to run up the flight ladder to the highest mark, raise the sleeve line, shoot down the target with water pressure, carefully lower the conditional victim with a rope and a double rescue loop from a height of 12 meters. After completing the exercises on the tank, the link rushes to the finish line, where it lays two sleeve lines and fills special tank targets with water.
The gas and smoke protectors ' starts took place within 6 hours. According to the results of the calculation, it turned out that the highest steps of the podium were won by the hosts of the competition. The best time -7 min 56 sec showed link GSPS SRU-90 Nizhnekamsk under the leadership of the head of the guard Andrey Kochegarov. The second result - 8 min 13 sec. also in Nizhnekamsk - the team SRU-35. Both units of the Nizhnekamsk detachment passed the test in theory without errors. The "bronze" prize-winner of the Republican competitions were representatives of the Kazan squad-SRU-43 link, who showed the result-10 minutes 26 seconds.
