This issue was discussed today at a briefing held at the Government House for the city and national media, with the participation of the chief state inspector for small vessels of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Venediktov and the chief state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for state fire supervision Sergey Sergeev.
The speaker of the Ministry of emergency situations began his report with statistics that characterize the death of children in fires over the past few years. On the territory of our Republic, an average of 8 minor children died and 23 are injured in various degrees of severity in the course of a year (2015-2019).
In the current year (as of 06.06.2020) in fires, 2 children have already died and 8 were injured of various severity (for the SPLY 2019. – 6 children died, 9 children were injured). Both cases of death of minors occurred under the age of 6 years. All fires with the death of minor children took place in private residential buildings.
Every year, work is organized and carried out to ensure the fire safety of children's recreation facilities.
For reference: 1819 objects involved in the children's health company of children in 2020 were registered (129 of them are stationary).
In order to reduce the negative consequences of fires, modern security systems are being implemented. Thus, with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov, since 2016, the work has been carried out to install autonomous smoke fire detectors in residential buildings of citizens, which inform residents of the danger at the initial stage of a fire.
During this period, autonomous fire detectors were installed in 2,079 homes (apartments) of dysfunctional families with minor children (7,060 detectors) and 3,450 homes (apartments) of large families (where there are four or more children) - 14,125 detectors.
