Safety of people during festive bathing in Tatarstan is provided by hundreds of employees of EMERCOM and other services of Russian unified system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations
Today, the Orthodox celebrate a great Church holiday - the Baptism of the Lord. In 37 municipalities of the Republic 123 bathing places are organized during the feast of the Epiphany, 41 of them are located on the rivers; 42 places on lakes and ponds; 40 fonts on springs (depth from 0.5 to 1.5 meters). The expected number of participants is more than 27 thousand people. All involved to ensure the safety of the emergencies Ministry, interior Ministry, Ministry of health, interior ministrys and municipalities 951 people, with the use of 255 units.
In 16:00 on January 19, in celebration places of the Baptism of the Lord 64 of 85 bathing seats completed. A total of 25,548 people were present, of which 10,463 people took part in bathing.
In the Zelenodolsk municipal district this year celebrations are held in 14 places, seven of them for Epiphany bathing are specially equipped places - in the Raif monastery, the village of Ilyinka, the villages of Vasilevo, Osinovo, the island of Sviyazhsk, next to the yacht club "Brigantine" Zelenodolsk.
