Incidents as of May 9:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 222 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 57, dry grass – 6, false alarms – 124, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 12 fires: private houses – 4, apartment buildings – 1, garden houses – 1, outhouses – 1, saunas – 1, other objects – 3, vehicles – 1.

More than 5 and a half thousand employees of EMERCOM took part in the 'Immortal Regiment' public action, which was held in all cities of the Republic of Tatarstan. There was the Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant General of internal service Rafis Khabibullin among them. Descendants of the heroes carried portraits of their relatives: officers and privates, whose fates united the war.

Employees of the 8 squad of the Federal Fire Service began the charitable action on installation of fire alarms from the participants of the Great Patriotic War, who live in Zelenodolsk. The other day for the same purpose they visited their veterans of fire service.

Solemn events dedicated to the 73 anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in Great Patriotic War began on May 9 at 10.00 at the Millennium Square of Kazan with the line-up of troops of Kazan garrison and the prologue of the holiday, which was attended by more than a thousand people. The parade unit of EMERCOM was led by the flag group.

Today in Bugulma on the eve of Victory Day, EMERCOM employees of the South-Eastern Tatarstan laid flowers to the stele of a firefighter, a hero of the Soviet Union, Gazinur Gafiatullin, who closed the enemy machine gun by his chest during the war and saved hundreds of lives of his comrades. For heroic feat in the fight against the Nazi invaders Sergeant Gafiatullin was awarded with the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal. 

On May 3, there were held competitions among units of the gas and smoke protection service of the second squad of the Federal Fire Service, that were dedicated to the memory of firefighters killed in the performance of duties. In hardest fight for the first place the units of FRD-77 won. 

On May 7, on the eve of Victory Day, a meeting in dedication to the 73 anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was held at the 'Motherland' memorial in Naberezhnye Chelny. Veterans of Naberezhnye Chelny Fire and Rescue garrison with their grandchildren, young employees of the 15 squad, relatives of the dead employees, cadets 'firefighter and rescuer' corps  of the cadet school named after the hero of the Soviet Union Nikita Kaymanov, young firefighters (students) of the 4 grade of a secondary school came to pay tribute to soldiers who died in the war of 1941—1945.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 110 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 20, abandoned building – 1, false alarms – 56, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 13. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 11 fires: private houses – 3, trailers – 1, garden houses – 1, outhouses – 4, preschool facilities – 1, abandoned buildings – 1.

On May 7, 2018 a test match of FIFA 2018 World Cup will take place in Kazan. At the stadium and near it there will be organized the duty of employees of the state fire supervision, exposed fire and rescue vehicles with personnel, as well as mobile complexes of radiation and chemical monitoring. The water area of the Kazanka will be patrolled by swimming facilities.

Today on the River Kazan under the 'Millenium' road bridge GIMS employees,  rescuers and medics as a part of interdepartmental freelance emergency response team carried out a rescue operation to evacuating people from a small burning vessel. The freelance rapid reaction group and all the forces involved in the training coped well with the task and are ready to respond to possible emergencies on the water.
