For half a century, the firefighters and rescuers of the detachment have been flawlessly performing their service. Every day, 45 people on 13 units of vehicles take up combat duty in the units of the detachment. There are 8 cars in reserve.
On the day of the professional holiday – the Day of the Rescuer of Russia – Zelenodolsk employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations made a gift for the pupils of the social shelter for children and teenagers "Nest".
Competitions and quizzes were held, funny performances with Santa Claus the Rescuer were arranged, encyclopedias and educational board games were presented. On behalf of the entire personnel of the unit, they donated packages of basic necessities for the youngest pupils of the "Nest".

In order to prevent fires and deaths of people during the preparation and holding of New Year and Christmas holidays, inspectors of the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work conduct unscheduled inspections of objects for children's New Year holidays. On the eve of the inspectors checked the state of fire safety of the Children's Center "Ekiyat".
