Incidents as of February 18:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 31 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 14, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 2 fires.

Under the aegis of the Year of Fire Service which was announced by Minister of Emergency Department of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov, several activities of informational propaganda are held in departments of fire service of the republic. Workers of the separate post “Raifa” organized a real “fire airborne” in the village of Bolshie Klyuchi of Zelenodolsky Municipal District.

Every day, employees of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan provide safety of European Championship among men and women team, and European Badminton Championship which is held in Kazan on the basis of Gymnastics Center. The competitions are attended by more than 450 sportsmen from 34 countries. The championship began on February 16 and will proceed until February 21.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 49 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 5, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 17. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, including 2 in the residential sector, outhouses – 2, garden houses – 1. 2 people died.

The situation on the territory of the republic is under control.

In connection with meteorological forecast for February 16 and 17, there were held meetings of the Commission on Emergencies and Fire Safety Provision in 6 municipal districts.

Including burning garbage extinguishing – 0, false alarms – 17, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 0, cooperation with other services – 5, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 4 fires, including 3 in the residential sector, various types of property – 1. 1 person died.

The report on that a man who was lying and could not move in his own on the ice of the river Kama in Laishevsky District in 9 km from the shore not far from the settlement of Laishevo was received at 10:25 A.M. from fishermen via cell phone.

Children of the beginning grades of Bukharay Secondary School of Zainsky Municipal District came for an excursion to the separate fire post on protection of the village of Bukharay of Zainsky Municipal District of Nizhnekamsk Squad of Fire Service.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 53 times. Including false alarms – 17, cooperation with other services – 22. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, including 2 in the residential sector, garden houses – 1, vehicles - 1. 1 person died.

In connection with the movement of extending cyclone to the European part of Russia, weather conditions on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan will seriously deteriorate on February 16 and 17.
