Improving fire-fighting skills and development of cooperation of employees of fire service and forestry workers in liquidation of fires and forest fires – these were the main aims of the training, organized today in Zelenodolsk District Forestry. The training involved units of Zelenodolsk Fire and Rescue Garrison. Employees of the garrison and the forestry’s workers call Zelenodolsk residents to be extremely cautious with fire in the forest.

Fire Sabantuy was held on the territory of Kazan school No. 171 in the honor of Russia’s Fire Service Day. And the holiday was organized for the children by employees of press service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan together with firefighters of Fire and Rescue Department No. 6 OFPS-7 for the Republic of Tatarstan within the Year of Fire Service in the system of EMERCOM of Russia.

Incidents as of April 20:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 62 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 26, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, residential sector – 2.

There was received a storm warning of strong winds on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan from Federal State Budgetary Institution “Office of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan”: strengthening of East wind gusts up to 21-26 m/s is expected in the next hour with maintaining at night and in the morning of April 22, 2016 at places on the Republic of Tatarstan.

At once two major international competitions are held these days in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. From April 21 to 24, European Judo Championship starts in “Tatneft-Arena”, and from April 22 to 24, Water Sports Palace will receive the strongest athletes within FINA Diving World Series. Forces and means of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of RT are involved in safety provision of these major international competitions.

Every year, liquidators of the Chernobyl NPP accident undergo a rehabilitation at the Republican Rehabilitation Center of EMERCOM of RT named after Sh. S. Karatay. So, this April there are ten of Chernobyl liquidators being treated at the center. Each of them takes individual treatment appointed by medical commission, in accordance with rehabilitation programs provided by the center.

This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Commission on Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies and Fire Safety Provision of RT, Alexey Pesoshin at the commission’s meeting on the topic “The Readiness of the Territorial Subsystem of RSChS for Prevention and Elimination of Natural Fires on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan”. The meeting was held with the participation of leaders of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, republic ministries of agriculture and forestry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan.

A very busy day today turned out to be to students of State Autonomous Professional Education Institution “Tetyushi State College of Civil Protection”. Since the morning they got acquainted with the work of the operational service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the history of the republican of fire service.

Floods situation is controlled from 28 hydroposts of Office of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan. In Kuybyshevskoe Reservoir the water level near the settlement of Verkhny Uslon is 53,59 m (+13 cm), its upper critical point is 54.24 m. In Nizhnekamskoe Reservoir the water level near the city of Naberezhnye Chelny is 63,90 m (-4 cm), its upper critical point is 65.9 m. The water’s cover is observed to be clean from ice.
