Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, residential sector – 4, outhouses – 2, vehicles – 1. 1 person died, 1 person was injured.

Tatarstanian cynologists successfully contested at open regional competitions of cynologists-rescuers of EMERCOM of Russia of search and rescue crews of search cynology service of EMERCOM of Russia, which were initiated into the 20th anniversary of cynology service establishment. Our most active members won the 1st and the 3rd places in total result. The competitions were attended by 66 cynology crews, including 20 ones from Volga Regional Center of EMERCOM of Russia.

Today, at the dam near the “Nizhnee Zarechye” beach of Kirov District, an OSVOD rescuer of the city of Kazan, Ruslan Sakaev, saved two drowning women. The injured turned out to be a mother born in 1962 and her daughter born in 1988. At it cleared up, they could not sweam, and when they lost the bottom they fell into panic and began drowning. Yesterday’s recruits passed the main exam before the assignment for their service today. 26 lieutenants of inner service waited with excitement their invitation to the hall where sat the examination board under the chairmanship of the first deputy chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, colonel of inner service, Tahir Karimullin.

According to her relatives, the girl with her 34-year-old brother-in-law swam in the reservoir mentioned earlier. When she swam she was using an automobile tube. During the swimming process the improvised inflatable ring swam away to the middle of the reservoir. Her brother swam for the ring, the sister remained closer to the shore knee-deep in the water. When her brother reached about the middle of the reservoir, he heard cries for help. Immediately he swam back to save his sister, but got into cold springs hitting from the bottom by his legs; his body started convulsing and he began drowning.
