At night January 19 the Orthodox world celebrates the feast of the Baptism of the Lord or Epiphany. Police officers, medics, GIMS inspectors, rescuers and firefighters will ensure the legal order and safety of baptismal bathing. All places of baptismal bathing on open water bodies (their number is being clarified) will be inspected by units of local fire and rescue garrisons. 

Incidents as of January 9:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 23 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 7. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 3 fires: outhouses – 1, saunas – 2.

At 11.24 AM on January 9, 2018 there was received report about poisoning of a family of 4 persons from monoxide gas in Kazan. Ambulance workers hospitalized a man born in 1975 and a woman born in 1986, in the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 in Kazan; a girl born in 2010, a boy born in 2017 in the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital of the city of Kazan.  The preliminary cause of the accident is a malfunction of the gas column hood. Experts say, that ventilation checking is necessary at least once a year.

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved changes in the Rules of firefighting regime, obliging owners of land plots regularly clean up trash and mow the grass. It is forbidden to burn grass and to raise fires near the road and railways. It is also forbidden to smoke outside specially equipped places for persons who are near the straw and on bread lands during the harvesting of cereals. Such measures will increase the level of protection of agricultural lands, roadside strips of roads, drainage lanes and security zones of railways from fires, the decree says.

This was announced today by the Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for fire supervision, Colonel of Internal Service, Sergey Sergeev, during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, during which festive activities were summarized. The leaders of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RT, as well as the heads of Ministries of Education and Science, Youth and Sports, representatives of the City Executive Committee of Kazan reported about the held festive events and providing safety at them.

Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 20, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 8, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires: private houses – 2, garden houses – 1, saunas – 3, other buildings and constructions – 1. 1 person was saved.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 51 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 6, false alarms – 18, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 13. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires: residential sector – 1, outhouses – 4, garden houses – 1.

Incidents as of January 5:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 53 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 18, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 5, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires.

The holding of Christmas celebrations on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan is planned for 241 objects of the Russian Orthodox Church. The surveys were conducted at all the cult institutions involved. In the course of inspections firefighting instructions on fire safety measures with priests and service personnel of cult objects were carried out. On 195 objects of Christmas festive events, the duty of more than 200 employees and workers of various kinds of fire service is organized.

At 07.12 AM on January 06, 2018 there was a report about a fire in a private residential house in the farm named after Vorovsky in Menzelinsk District. The first fire departments arrived in 6 minutes. The fire was liquidated in 07.29 AM. Unfortunately, the bodies of three dead were found on the fire: of a man and two boys.
