On August 30, near the settlement of Patrikeevo, Verkhny Uslon district of RT, there was a burning of dry grass. The area of the fire was 3 hectares. There was a threat of spreading fire to the settlement. Fortunately, firefighters of Verkhny Uslon fire and rescue garrison duly coped with the dangerous fire of dry grass and extinguished the natural fire. At that time large natural fires were registered in other areas of the Volga region.

At the Kazan school № 89 an occupation on the educational evacuation of schoolchildren and the personnel of the educational institution in case of a fire took place. According to the legend of the exercises, in one of the classrooms of primary education there was an ignition, as a result of which the automatic fire alarm system was activated. Almost everyone could be evacuated in 2 minutes 39 seconds. Three people were hostages of the smoke, they were rescued by auto-ladders. To save another schoolboy, firefighters unfolded an inflatable life cube.
Traditionally, in September, firefighters conduct a number of preventive activities in educational institutions: Safety Lessons, Open Doors, exhibitions of fire equipment, as well as fire and tactical exercises in school buildings. The purpose of such trainings is to work out joint actions of the personnel of fire departments and personnel of educational institutions in extinguishing a conditional fire in case of its occurrence.
