No Casualties as a Result of Fire in the Gunpowder Factory

At 1.38 A.M. on August 24, 2016, there was received information about fire in Kirov Districts of the city of Kazan on the territory of Federal Budgetary Enterprise “Kazan State Budgetary Gunpowder Factory” in a one-floor brick building.

Units of Special Departments of Federal Fire Service No. 35 of EMERCOM of Russia (on the protection of secret facilities). There was local burning if wooden window frames inside the building. At 2.01 A.M. the fire was localized, at 2.07 A.M. the open fire was eliminated. The fire area was 100 sq. meters. 5 fire trucks and 25 people of the special department’s staff worked on the scene.

There are no dead, nor injured. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
