Efficient Measure of Firefighting in Residential Sector Is Its Prevention
In order to stabilize the situation with fires in residential sector, workers of departments of fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan hold preventive talks with people every day, paying special attention to old citizens, families with many children and socially unadapted citizens. Just within two days firefighters covered more than two hundred householders in settlements, which are included to the service zone of separate posts, and explained them elementary measures of fire safety when using fire, gas stoves and household electric devices, as well as heating furnaces.
In order to prevent fires State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Fire Service of the Republic of Tatarstan” reminds:
- do not leave turned on electric devices and stoked furnace unattended;
- do not use open fire near flammable liquids and materials;
- do not leave children, disabled, and old people at home unattended;
- do not leave bonfires, matches, cigarette butts unextinguished at recreation areas;
- clean up backyard and garden plots from dry grass and garbage, do not burn dry grass, leaves and garbage; collect them and pack into bags and fold in designated areas for further recycling;
- do not allow children to play with matches, keep them at places inaccessible for children.
