Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of March 23:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 47 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 3 cooperation with other services – 4. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, including 6 in the residential sector, outhouses – 2. 2 people were injured, 1 person died, 11 people were saved.

Causes: carelessness when smoking – 3, arson – 1, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, violation of fire safety rules during welding works – 1.

Departures of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 19 times. 1 person was saved.

Departures of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 1.

Departures of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 5 times. Including: doors unlocking – 1, traffic accident – 3, others – 1. Preventive works – 5.

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
