“Firefighting Special Forces” Contest in Kazan

According to the results of the first type of XXVII All-Russian Competitions on Applied Fire Sports Among Special Departments of Federal Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia the team of special office No. 50 from St. Petersburg, a longtime favorite of the tournament, won the leadership. Kazanians who represent Special Office of Federal Fire Service No. 35 rank on the second place in the overall standings, so far. The strongest 12 teams of special offices which represent Moscow, Sarov, Novouralsk, Novocheboksarsk, Zarechny, Perm, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Votkinsk, and Mezhgorye went to the start.

At the opening ceremony, participants of the competitions were welcomed by a representative of the central office of EMERCOM of Russia, Chief of the 1st Department of Office of Special Fire Service of EMERCOM Russia, colonel of inner service, Aleksandr Terentyev. As honorary guests the ceremony was also attended by Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister for Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant-General of inner service, Rafis Khabibullin, CEO of “Tupolev” Public Company, Nikolai Savitskikh, CEO of Kazan State Budgetary Gunpowder Factory, Khalil Giniyatov, leaders of special offices, and veterans of applied fire sports.
