River Overflows During Floods Season Are Not Expected

Water level in the rivers of the Republic during the period of spring floods will not exceed long-term norms. Moreover, specialists expect even “deficit” of big water at the average of half of a meter in comparison with usual indices. This was said today by Chief of Office on Hydrometeorology and Environment Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Zakharov, during the meeting of Commission on Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies and Fire Safety Provision. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Acting Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksey Pesoshin.
