Firefighters and Police Officers Rescued a Fisherman Who Went Down Through the Ice in Cheremshan District

The report on that a man was sinking in the river Cheremshan was received from an unknown witness on March 9, 2016 at 7:35 A.M. The man was going over the river and suddenly went down through the ice.

One detachment of Fire and Rescue Department No. 135 of FGKU “11th OFPS for the Republic of Tatarstan” left immediately for the scene. In two minutes, at 7:37 A.M. the firefighters proceeded rescuing the man who was located at the distance of 15 meters from the river bank and held the edge of the ice with his last bit of strength. Police officers arrived to the scene simultaneously with the firefighters, and by joint forces with improvised means, firefighter ladder and rescue rope they took the injured out of the ice-hole to the bank. The injured was delivered to an ambulance brigade. At 7:50 A.M. the rescue operation was over.
