Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of January 29:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 62 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 20, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 12. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 10 fires, including 3 of them in the residential sector, outhouses – 2, garden houses – 1. 15 people were rescued, 2 people were injured.

Causes: careless use of fire – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 2, carelessness when smoking – 2, violation of gas equipment use – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, arson – 1, ascertain – 1.

Departures of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 18 times.

Departures of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Departures of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 9 times. Includingsearching for a lost person – 1, traffic accident – 4, others – 4.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
