Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of January 16:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 70 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 29, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, burnt meal – 5, cooperation with other services – 17. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 8 fires, including 2 in the residential sector, outhouses – 5, vehicles – 1. 1 person died.

Causes: wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 2, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1, faulty vehicle systems, mechanisms and components – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 3.

Rides of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 5 times.

Rides of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 0.

Rides of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 8 times. Including: evacuation of people from the road (the car broke down) – 1, searching for a person (retreat on the route) – 1,  door unlocking – 4, others – 2. Preventive works – 3.

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
