Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of December 31:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 96 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 40, short circuit of wiring without burning – 6,  singed meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 17. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 16 fires, including 10 in residential sector, garden houses – 2. 3 people died, 1 person was injured, 1 person was rescued.

Causes: careless use of fire – 4,  violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 2, carelessness when smoking – 2, violation of fire safety rules during gas equipment use – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 2, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 2, arson – 2, ascertain – 1.

Rides of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 10 times.

Rides of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Rides of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 9 times. Including: door unlocking – 2, demercurization – 1, suspicious objects – 2, fires – 1, others – 3.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
