December 9: International Anti-Corruption Day

International Anti-Corruption Day which was announced by UN General Assembly is marked on December 9 yearly. Russia is one of the first countries which signed Convention of December 9, which was ratified in 2006. According to the paper, countries that signed it must introduce changes and additions into their national legislation, in which bribes, misappropriation of budgetary means and laundering corrupted incomings must be announced criminal offence. Besides, contries-participants of Convention must coordinate their actions in order to fight corruption which has reached transcontinental scales.
