Rescuers Worked Out Free Drop on a Detached Ice

18 November 2015, Wednesday

Today, rescuers of Kazan Search and Rescue Squad, Branch of Federal Budgetary Institution “Volga Regional SAR Squad of EMERCOM of Russia” and Zonal Search and Rescue Squad No. 2 of EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan held landing training. Rescuers had to land with the help of a rope from 40 meters on a bordered area with the size of 5 to 5 meters. Nearly all rescuers made such landings many times. But also volunteers, who decided to help EMERCOM employees at their free time, were among experienced professionals. For the training day, each EMERCOM employee realized more than ten landings on a bordered area, which in real life may be a detached ice or icy cover of the water.
