Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of April 18:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 87 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 9, dry grass extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 44, singed meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 10, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, 2 of them in residential sector.

Causes are: violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, careless handling of fire – 2, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 2, carelessness when smoking – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 11 times.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 2.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 9 times. Including: door unblocking – 3, searching for person lost in the woods – 1, traffic accident – 1, preventive talks – 2, examining crowded recreation places of citizens in order to hold preventive talks – 1, examining places of possible underflooding – 1.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for RT warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave electrical and gas devices unattended.
