An unscheduled meeting of the Commission on Emergency Prevention and Response and Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Government House of the Republic

The meeting was held by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.
On the evening of June 14, an emergency shutdown on power transformers occurred in a number of districts of the city of Kazan as a result of a complex of unfavorable weather events.

The residential areas of Salmachi, Novye Salmachi, Vishnevka and Privolny in Kazan and the village of Kuyuki in the Pestrechinsky municipal district with a total population of 7,877 people were affected by power outages. There was no power outage at the Zarechye substation in the Kirovsky district of Kazan. On the morning of June 15, the power supply was fully restored.

Irek Kadamov, Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Tatarstan, and Almir Latipov, Deputy General Director and Technical Director of Grid Company JSC, reported on the elimination of the consequences of emergency power outages. Andrey Orlov, Acting Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the meeting.
