The 112-service is designed to provide assistance to all categories of the population, so it is very important that every citizen, including people with hearing and speech impairments, can seek timely help in an emergency.
By the decision of the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan, R. N. Minnikhanov, starting from January 01, 2020, positions of specialists in receiving and processing emergency calls with knowledge of Russian sign language were introduced into the staff of the state budgetary institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Emergency Call Service - 112".
Specialists with knowledge of the Russian sign language provide reception and processing of calls from subscribers with hearing and speech impairments through video calls.
Informing people with hearing and speech impairments about access to the 112 Service is carried out through the Tatar Republican branch of the All-Russian Public Organization of the Disabled "All-Russian Society of the Deaf".
