A hero was honored at Kazan gymnasium No. 189 "Zaman" today
Today, Savely Vasin, a 4th grade student, has become a real hero in the eyes of students of the multidisciplinary gymnasium No. 189 "Zaman" in the Kirovsky district of Kazan. In March of this year, he saw a fisherman fall through the ice and begin to drown on the Volga River near the village of Klyuchishchi in the Verkhneuslonsky district. The boy did not lose his head and quickly informed his mother about this, and she called all the necessary services at 112. Russian Emergencies Ministry staff arrived and rescued a 52-year-old man from a polynya.
Pavel Rodionov, Acting Deputy Minister for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Regina Gayazova, Head of the Department for Human Safety at Water Facilities of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, arrived at the gymnasium today. They thanked the parents and the teaching staff of the gymnasium for the proper upbringing of a real citizen with an active lifestyle. The 4th grade student was presented with letters of thanks from Irek Kadamov, Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, and Andrei Orlov, Acting Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
