The culmination of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was a military parade. Parade formations lined up at the walls of the Kazan Kremlin - columns of military units of the Kazan garrison, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan, Suvorov soldiers, cadets, yunarmeyts, students of military departments of universities, as well as Afghan soldiers and participants in other local wars and conflicts.
This year, the live broadcast of the Victory Day Parade from Red Square in Moscow took place again, during which the address of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, was heard.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, congratulated war veterans, home front workers, soldiers of the Kazan garrison and all Tatarstan citizens on the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
