«He was such a man» - in memory of Alexei Shapovalov
In December 2024, Alexey Alekseevich Shapovalov, the head of the First Detachment of the State Fire Service, Honored Rescuer of the Republic of Tatarstan, would have turned 75 years old. On the anniversary of the outstanding firefighter, Lyceum No. 31 was named after him. This is the only school in Nizhnekamsk that operated in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan in 1998 on the creation of specialized classes "Young Rescuer". In the early 2000s, the educational institution began to cooperate with the First Detachment of the State Fire Service. OGPS-1 has always been associated with the name of Colonel Shapovalov, who led one of the most combat-ready units of the republic for three decades.
Secondary School No. 31 was renamed Lyceum No. 31 named after Alexei Alekseevich Shapovalov. On the anniversary day, a memorable meeting of Alexey Alekseevich's colleagues in the fire service, friends and family members took place in the lyceum's auditorium.
