The sixth season of the large-scale campaign "Save the Forest" has started in Russia. It is organized by the public movement "Ecosystem" and the non-profit organization "Garden of Memory", with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. It is stated that the campaign is designed to draw the attention of the general public to the topic of careful treatment of forest resources, develop ecological culture, and contribute to the preservation of the country's carbon balance. Firefighters in Tatarstan took an active part in the "green" campaign.
"Let's save the Forest" is the second large-scale environmental project in which a detachment of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Department of Contractual Divisions in the Republic of Tatarstan participates. In 2021, a "Garden of Memory" was organized on the territory adjacent to the 35 PSCH, where firefighters plant trees every year in memory of the fallen defenders of the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War.
This year, firefighters planted a Karelian spruce tree in the "Garden of Memory". It was brought by members of the local Neftekhimik search party from the expedition to search and perpetuate the memory of the Red Army soldiers. As part of the current environmental campaign, firefighters cleaned and improved the territory of the "Garden of Memory", organized care for trees and young seedlings.
