The briefing was held at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. At a meeting with media representatives, Andrei Elizarov reported in detail on the forecast for the development of the flood situation and the readiness of the governing bodies, forces and means of the functional and territorial subsystems of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan for the passage of flood waters in 2024.
"At present, the hydrological situation on the territory of the republic is normal," the report of the head of the Central Executive Committee began. - As of March 21, there are no flooded settlements in the republic. On small rivers, the development of spring processes has not yet been noted, water levels are everywhere below the water outlet to the floodplain and the average long-term maximum values.
The thickness of ice on rivers and reservoirs reaches 66 cm in places.
