A holiday from SRWD and SISV for special children

5 December 2024, Thursday

"By the seas, by the waves" - under this name, for the tenth year in a row, a sports and wellness holiday for special children has been held at the Meteor sports complex. The event is annually attended by employees of the Zelenodolsk inspection department of SISV, SRW and the 8th fire and rescue squad. The main goal of the organizers is to draw attention to the issues of safe behavior on the water, as well as the socialization of children with disabilities.

This year, 20 children took part in the competition. They participated in the heats in pairs and separately. The older ones helped the little ones. And the fervent support of parents and guests of the holiday added strength and enthusiasm. All these guys are trained by coach Svetlana Kayumova, who is a member of the Zelenodolsk branch of the SRW. Thanks to her efforts, this holiday is organized annually. According to Svetlana Kayumova, such competitions are simply necessary for special children and their parents.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and representatives of the Water Rescue Society, in turn, believe that such events help to draw the attention of children and their parents to issues of safe behavior on the water. The head of the Zelenodolsk inspection department of SISV, Sergey Evseev, recalled the elementary precautions, the dangers of going out on thin ice and urged parents to control children, not to allow children's games on dangerous unreliable ice.
At the end of the holiday, all the children were awarded sweet prizes, diplomas and even real medals. There were definitely no losers here! After all, the main thing is not rewards and gifts. It is much more important to be involved in a common good cause that brings joy and unites completely different people. That is why the tradition of holding such sporting events will undoubtedly be maintained in the future.
