This was warned today by the chief state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for small courts Yuri Venediktov at a briefing, which was organized for the city and republican media on the basis of the Tatar-inform news agency, in order to prevent accidents in water bodies, especially with the participation of children.
The speaker of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that despite the February and March frosts and continuous freezing, dangerous places are already appearing on water bodies. The main ones are the upper reaches of small rivers, where the processes of ice destruction began and there are gouges; bridges are dangerous even in winter, and now the ice under them is extremely unreliable; places where small rivers, streams flow into rivers.
According to the results of monitoring the ice situation in places of mass exit of fishermen to ice, the thickness of the ice cover is from 20 to 73 cm, continuous ice composition.
