EMERCOM of Russia: it became possible to use financial and material reserves for preventive purposes
Amendments have been made to the Federal Law "On the Protection of the Population and Territories from Natural and Man-made Emergencies." Earlier, the corresponding bill was prepared by the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
"Now it has become possible to use the available reserves of financial and material resources when carrying out measures aimed at preventing emergencies when introducing a high alert regime.
This will allow the timely implementation of a set of measures aimed at minimizing losses from emergency situations, "said the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Kurenkov.
Earlier, such proposals were repeatedly addressed by the leaders of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, especially the Far Eastern and Siberian federal districts, now this is enshrined in law.
The corresponding federal law was signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on January 30 of this year.
