Fire prevention before school holidays
Winter holidays are a wonderful time, which is characterized by a huge number of exciting activities and, at the same time, a lot of additional risks. So, on the eve of the New Year holidays, Evgeny Viktorovich Osenkov, inspector of the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work in the Nizhnekamsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with the pupils of the Nizhnekamsk orphanage. He told the children in detail about the rules of fire safety during the New Year holidays, about the causes of fires, about the classification of fire extinguishers, as well as about the equipment of firefighters.
The inspector reminded that a fire can occur anywhere and at any time. Therefore, you need to be prepared for it, namely, you need to know the following:
- do not decorate the Christmas tree with cloth and plastic toys.
-do not cover the Christmas tree stand with cotton wool.
- the Christmas tree should be illuminated only with electric garlands of industrial production.
- it is not allowed to light sparklers, use firecrackers and wax candles in the room. Remember that open fire is always dangerous!
- do not use pyrotechnics if you do not understand how to use it, and the instructions are not attached, or it is written in a language you do not understand.
- it is impossible to repair and reuse failed pyrotechnics.
- it is strictly forbidden to use homemade pyrotechnic devices.
